Dental Assistant Traineeship Program at Pacific Smiles Wagga Wagga

This full time, paid twelve-month traineeship opportunity is perfect for those wanting to begin their career in the dental health services industry. You will earn an income while working towards gaining a nationally recognised Certificate III in Dental Assisting qualification and have a high potential for further employment upon completion.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering awesome patient care! helping people feel comfortable and cared for at every visit

• Keeping things clean and safe making sure the clinic is spotless and everything’s running smoothly

• Working side-by-side with our Dentists getting hands-on experience with a variety of dental procedures

• Helping at the front desk greeting patients, booking appointments, and keeping things organised

• Being a team player! supporting your coworkers and making the clinic a great place to work

A Day in the Life of a Dental Assistant 

No two days are the same and that’s what makes it exciting! As a Dental Assistant, you’ll be:

• Right in the action assisting dentists during a variety of procedures (think passing instruments, handling suction, and more)

• Prepping like a pro setting up before treatments and making sure everything’s spotless afterward, including sterilising tools

• The friendly face at reception welcoming patients, booking appointments, taking payments, and keeping their records up to date

What You’ll Need to Succeed 

• Comfort in the clinical world You’ll be working closely with patients (yep, that means mouths and bodily fluids!), so a strong stomach is a must

• People skills You’re a great communicator who enjoys chatting with patients and working as part of a team

• Multitasking magic You can juggle tasks, follow directions, and stay cool under pressure
